Responsibilities

The Indirect Dealer Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with automotive dealerships to generate indirect loan volume. This role operates within a defined geographical territory and contributes to the growth of Old National Bank's indirect lending portfolio. The Dealer Rep serves as a liaison between the dealer and the bank, providing training on products, assisting with loan origination and working with dealers to meet sales targets. Requires frequent travel to dealership locations throughout assigned markets.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $51,700 - $101,500 per year plus bonus. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

Key Accountabilities

Business Development

    Develops targeted prospects within the established geographical area and consistently achieves annual dealer production volume goals.
  • Executes new dealer agreements and appropriate legal forms to onboard or update dealer relationships
  • Uses a consultative selling approach to understand client needs and opportunities, including pre-call planning, establishing rapport, identifying needs and opportunities, explaining product features and benefits, overcoming objections and driving loan volume to achieve sales targets.
  • Leverages centers of influence to build a network and create a pipeline of business.
  • Develop knowledge of internal and external systems such as Route One, Dealer Track, e-contracting and Loans PQ to assist in strengthening relationships and driving additional volume.

Portfolio Management

  • Manages a portfolio of dealerships for activities, ensuring the relationships are maintained in a professional manner and effective/responsive monitoring of client's needs.
  • Regularly meet with dealers to provide information to support business development.
  • Monitors dealer relationships for activities consistent with banking guidelines and firmly addresses concerns with dealership management.
  • Analyzes dealership and market-specific competitive data to look for opportunities or challenges and addresses those appropriately with dealerships and ONB management
  • Partners with support staff to ensure the loan origination process meets bank and client expectations.
  • Assists ONB partners such as collections, titles, and consumer ops, to help resolve issues.

Qualifications and Education Requirements - Dealer Representative

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an outside sales role, with Indirect Lending in the automotive industry preferred.
  • General knowledge of the automotive industry or Indirect/Consumer Lending.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
