Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for an Avionics Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems Engineering Support at the senior level who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center WAM (AFLCMC/WAM) directorate, F-16 division at Hill AFB, UT.

F-16 "Viper" AFLCMC/WAM is headquartered at Hill Air Force Base with units located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Tyndall Air Force Base, Eglin Air Force Base, and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. The F-16 "Viper" is a multi-role fighter jet delivering air-to-air, air-to-ground, and surveillance capabilities for the United States Air Force (USAF) and Coalition Partners.

The candidate shall aid in the design F-16 on-aircraft electrical wiring (harnesses and loose wire assemblies), and electrical components (matrix assemblies, circuit breaker panels, ethernet networks, etc.). The candidate shall perform necessary engineering analysis to show compliance with F-16 standards (e.g. electrical loads analysis, thermal modeling, environmental qualification etc.) for their designs. The candidate shall aid in document designs; develop installation procedures; perform Trial Verification Installation (TVI) and Kit proof (KP) in accordance with F-16 SPO processes. During TVI and KP, the candidate shall document discrepancies between engineering drawings, routing drawings, mechanical components, and installation procedures and make corrections to technical data as necessary. The candidate shall maintain revision histories for source data and perform rigorous configuration management of technical data developed for the USAF.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:

Support the engineering and technical design, development, integration, verification, qualification for airworthiness certification, and fielding of F-16 AESA radar, electronic warfare, and self-protection systems. Creating; Parts Lists, Functional Diagrams, modification drawings, Loose Wire Assemblies (LWAs), wire Lists, bill of Materials, installation drawings, routing drawings, Organic Change Notice Reviews and concurrence, briefings, reports, White Paper and analyses and Design Review Data.

  • Must have at least an active secret clearance.
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in a related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, at least five (5) of which must be in the DoD
  • OR bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
  • OR a minimum of fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
  • Recommend expertise in U.S. military fighter-bomber aircraft fire control radar development and integration experience.
  • Recommend expertise in electronic warfare threats and countermeasures techniques and testing for fire control radars.
  • Recommend expertise in precision Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) mapping processes and test processes.
  • Recommend experience in U.S. military aircraft electronic warfare and self-protection systems development and integration.
