About the Clinic: The patient population served includes residents of Wake County living with mental illness who are seeking primary care services. The clinic is committed to delivering integrated, patient-centered care. Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant II (CMA II) provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders while supporting physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) in the delivery of comprehensive primary care services. This role works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, administrative personnel, and leadership to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities include providing clinical and operational support, assisting with quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of departmental and program standards, managing incoming communications, and supporting daily workflow activities. The CMA II serves as a key member of the care team, promoting a positive patient experience and maintaining high standards of service excellence. Work Schedule: This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, working 8-hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is a fully on-site position with free parking available. Incentive: $7,500 Commitment Incentive paid out in three (3) installments over three (3) years. Primary Responsibilities: *Rooming patients for primary care visits and preparing them for provider evaluation *Obtaining laboratory specimens and performing point-of-care testing as ordered *Answering and routing telephone calls in a professional and timely manner *Managing electronic in-basket requests and patient communications *Assisting with administrative processes, including fax management, prior authorizations, and other clinical documentation needs *Supporting providers and staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and continuity of patient care. Preferences: Primary Care experience preferred.
