Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a
Mission Integrator for the Experimental Operations Unit (EOU) a multitasking, quick-paced, dynamic environment supporting Department of War prototyping and experimentation efforts.
This role will support our growing team at the USAFWC at Nellis AFB, NV.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Mission Integrator will support the Experimental Operations Unit by assisting in the coordination and synchronization of range operations, communications, command and control (C2), and mission support activities for test, training, and operational events. Working closely with EOU leadership, government stakeholders, operational units, and mission partners, the Mission Integrator helps ensure mission resources, planning efforts, and operational requirements are aligned to enable safe, efficient, and successful execution in operational environments.
This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities, build strong customer relationships, and effectively coordinate across government, military, contractor, and industry organizations in a dynamic operational environment.
Position requires flexibility to work occasional non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements. Additionally, position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
*Support the planning, coordination, and execution of range operations, communications, command and control (C2), and mission support activities for test, training, and operational events.
*Assist with synchronizing range resources, airspace, communications, logistics, and mission support requirements to enable successful event execution.
*Coordinate with government agencies, operational units, and industry partners to support mission planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
*Serve as a supporting liaison between customers, range organizations, and mission partners to facilitate communication, resolve coordination issues, and maintain mission timelines.
*Assist in developing mission schedules, execution timelines, communications plans, and operational checklists to support range activities.
*Support mission planning conferences, coordination meetings, operational briefings, and post-event debriefs by preparing materials, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through.
*Monitor ongoing mission activities and communicate schedule changes, resource conflicts, and operational impacts to mission leadership.
*Assist with coordinating the integration of emerging technologies, communications systems, and mission support equipment into training and operational events.
*Coordinate with internal EOU personnel to ensure that required facilities, equipment, personnel, and range resources are available prior to mission execution.
*Support large-force exercises, operational demonstrations, and experimentation events by coordinating participating organizations and mission support requirements.
*Maintain situational awareness of mission status, operational priorities, and customer requirements while providing timely updates to the Mission Lead and government stakeholders.
*Develop and maintain mission trackers, status reports, meeting minutes, and operational documentation to support planning and execution activities.
*Help identify and resolve operational issues, scheduling conflicts, and resource constraints to keep mission execution on track.
*Foster effective working relationships across government, military, and industry organizations to improve collaboration and mission integration.
Required Skills:
*6+ years of experience working within, or for, US DoD or partner agencies.
*Experience supporting operational exercises, experimentation events, and capability demonstrations involving Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, and joint mission partners.
*Working knowledge of Department of Defense test, evaluation, and exercise planning policies, processes, and procedures.
*Experience working with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and operating within classified test and operational environments.
*Proven ability to work independently in dynamic, fast-paced operational environments while managing multiple concurrent operational priorities.
*Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
*Ability to travel and maintain a flexible work schedule in support of operations, exercises, and mission execution.
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
*Able to program multi-spectrum mounted and dismounted tactical radios (PRC-163, PRC-161, etc.) and develop and implement communications plans for test and training events/exercises.
*Working knowledge of operating handheld transceivers that supports detection, direction finding, and attack of adversary signals such as the CACI Beast+
*Certified to operate one or more blue label group one category sUAS.Instructor level certification highly desired.
*Working knowledge on the use of tactical ground sensing and optical systems for target acquisition and identification associated with AFSPECWAR/SOF teams and other ground maneuver elements.
Education Requirements:
Associate's degree with 8+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, or master's degree with 4+ years' experience.
Travel Requirements:
Routine travel is expected. Candidates should anticipate one week per quarter, but additional travel may be required based on mission requirements.Non-traditional work hours will be required.Expectation is that work will be performed onsite, with frequent local travel to range site(s).
Clearance Requirements:
Current Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain access to Special Access Required (SAR) Programs and Special Technical Operations (STO) required.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
