Responsibilities:



  • Lead the engineering and coordination of new data center construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage construction schedules, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely project completion.
  • Oversee electrical, mechanical, and cooling system installations, ensuring quality and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Review, mark up, and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to guide project execution.
  • Collaborate with estimators to provide technical input and cost analysis for new project bids.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure proper integration of electrical and cooling systems into new facilities.
  • Utilize computer-based systems to track project progress, document changes, and optimize workflow.
  • Identify and troubleshoot design or installation issues, providing timely resolutions to avoid project delays.
  • Assist in developing and implementing testing, commissioning, and handover procedures for newly built data centers.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with safety, security, and environmental standards.
  • Serve as an on-site presence as needed to oversee progress, inspections, and contractor work.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry advancements to recommend innovative solutions for efficiency and scalability.


Qualifications :



  • 5+ years of experience in data center construction, facilities engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and cooling infrastructure, including UPS, generators, and CRAC/CRAH systems.
  • Experience with construction project management, including scheduling, contractor coordination, and procurement.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, project management tools, and facility management software.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and mark up blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with bidding processes, cost estimation, and value engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address construction challenges proactively.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work on-site daily if required, overseeing installations and resolving field issues.
  • Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices for data center construction
