Responsibilities

Keysight is seeking a customer-facingSolution Architectto supporthyperscalers, NEMs,manufacturers of optical transceivers and copper cables, andsiliconvendorsin validatingnext-generation, 1.6 Terabit and higher speedAIand networkdata centerinterconnects.This role combinesknowledge ofnetworkequipment expertisewith strong customer engagement and close collaboration with Product Managementand Engineeringto influence next-generationhardware and softwaretest and measurement solutionsfor high-speed interconnects

Responsibilities

  • Act asa trusted technical advisor toHyperscalers, NEMs,manufacturers of optical transceivers and copper cables, and siliconvendors onhigh-speed interconnectvalidation strategiesand error performance measurement.
  • Architect and deliverfunctional, performance, and interoperabilityinterconnect error performancevalidation solutions using advanced traffic generationsoftwareand network testhardwareplatforms, including proof-of-concepts andinterconnect errorperformance benchmarking.
  • Design, developand conduct use cases to measureinterconnects for technical customer productdemonstrations, industry interoperability events, and hot stages for tradeshow and industry / MSAplugfests.
  • Activelyparticipate in industry organization meetings and Keysightinternalmeetingswhere Keysight plans toattendhot stages,tradeshows,and industryplugfests.
  • Activelyparticipatein industry organizations such as the Ethernet Alliance, OIF, and industry MSAs as assigned.
  • Build end execute automated interconnect test suites using Keysight software and hardware platforms.
  • Develop and deliver product and technical training to Keysight pre-sales engineers in the form of audio and video presentations and written documents such as application notes.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and R&D to translatecustomer interconnecttestrequirements into roadmap priorities.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's ormaster's degree inElectrical Engineering, Network Communications, Computer Data Sciences, ora relatedfield.
  • Experience inworking with the product development and test ofnetwork equipment (i.e.working withNEMs),AI data centeroperators,hyperscale networking environments,andpre-deployment testing of interconnects and networking equipmentused ininhigh-speed Ethernet(800GE and higher speeds).
  • Familiar with IEEE 802.3,OIF electrical specifications, and critical interconnect MSAspecificationsas theyrelate to high-speed interconnects.
  • Deep knowledge oftheactualqualification of optical transceivers, and active and passive copper cables.
  • Directworking knowledge of CMIS (Common Management Interface Specification)
  • Experience withnetwork equipmentinteroperability testing,andequipment benchmarking.
  • 5+ years of experience in network test/validation roles.
  • Hands-onexperience with network traffic generators and validation/test tools.
  • Experience in network automation (SCPI,Python,RESTAPI,Tcl).
  • Develop automated test cases,execute test cases, and analyze test results.
  • Excellent customer-facingoral and writtencommunication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to conducthands-ondemonstrations of hardware and software products for interconnect and network equipmenttests.
  • Self-driven, curious, and motivated to continuously learn emerginghigh-speed Ethernet (i.e.,800GE and higher),andnew transceiver and cabletechnologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experiencewith Keysightphysical layer test (Layer0 and1) instruments such as BERTs, DCAs, real-time Oscilloscopes and related instrumentsin the field.
  • Experiencewithlayer 2/3 Ethernet traffic generators and analyzers.

California pay range: MIN $176,670 - MAX $294,440

Note:For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
