Position Summary
Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Program Manager, supporting the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Program AFLCMC/WIS Asymmetric Warfare Division. This program focuses on advancing, sustaining, and modernizing the Air Force's small UAS portfolio to meet evolving operational needs across multiple mission sets.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Apply knowledge and experience in acquisition program management philosophy policies and procedures to systems, subsystems, equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
- Assist with developing integrated risk management plans and strategies.
- Assist with analyzing and preparing draft recommendations relating to weapon system contractor production changes for Government consideration. Shall assist with writing, reviewing, and editing program documentation with the goal of ensuring weapon system changes are accurately identified and recorded.
- Assist with reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Contract Change Proposals (CCPs). Shall participate in fact-finding and support the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process.
- Provide support for strategic scheduling and planning documentation such as the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and shall develop and coordinate a reporting framework for event-based activities during the work efforts. Develop, analyze, and maintain a master integrated program schedule from concept exploration to fielding a system; employ networking software tools and capabilities to support lower tier schedule networking, network statusing, generation of network graphics, assignment of realistic durations and relationships to network elements.
- Perform analyses to support program strategy decisions and courses of action. Shall provide a program assessment for integration of documentation to ensure consistency with program strategy and consistency across all milestone documentation.
- Assist in translating user requirements documents such as the Capability Development Document (CDD), Capability Production Document (CPD), and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) into weapon system contract Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
- Assist with writing, coordinating, staffing, and maintaining program documentation, including but not limited to documentation regarding requirements, cost, schedule, performance, risk, impacts, and status of the program.
- Attend and support reviews, audits and working group meetings including but not limited to Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Test Planning Working Groups (TPWGs), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs).
- Assist with coordinating arrangements, agendas, and briefing materials and record/track program action items and suspense's for events such as meetings, reviews, working groups, and audits. For these events, coordination should occur with functional managers, outside agencies, weapon system contractor personnel, and the program office customers.
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Clearance: TS/SCI Education/Years of Experience:
- Advanced Degree, Master of Arts (MA) / Master of Science (MS) in a field relevant to the functional area, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD
- Or a Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to the functional area, and 25 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, eight (8) years of which must be in the DoD
- Active Top Secret Clearance
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and integrated scheduling tools (IMP/IMS).
- Experience conducting Schedule Risk Assessments using Monte Carlo-based software.
- Ability to review and analyze Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Contract Change Proposals (CCPs).
- Skilled in using CCaRS, SMART, and AF/SOF portals for data analysis and documentation.
- Expertise within special warfare/special operations
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with Government, contractors, and crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage documentation, schedules, and action items.
- Effective problemsolving and analytical thinking in fastpaced program environments.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to support and contribute within IPTs and working groups.
