Job Description

The North America Partnership Organization is responsible for accelerating Visa's growth through a scalable ecosystem of strategic partners that expand distribution, increase market reach, accelerate solution adoption, and create indirect revenue opportunities across Visa's portfolio of Value Added Services, DPS Processing, and Core capabilities.

Senior. Manager, Strategic Alliances will lead Visa's relationships with key strategic partners including technology providers, processors, digital banking platforms, and System Integrators. This role is responsible for building executive relationships, defining joint go-to-market strategies, creating repeatable revenue motions, and delivering partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue.

Success in this role requires the ability to operate at both a strategic and commercial level. The ideal candidate will influence partner executives, align Visa and partner growth strategies, drive joint pipeline development, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Own strategic alliance relationships across a portfolio of priority partners Develop executive-level relationships and serve as the primary business owner for Visa's most strategic partnerships.
  • Define and execute partnership strategies Create multi-year business plans that align partner capabilities with Visa growth priorities and revenue objectives.
  • Drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue Identify, develop, and accelerate commercial opportunities through joint sales motions and coordinated account strategies.
  • Build joint go-to-market programs Develop repeatable sales plays, solution packages, and market engagement strategies that scale across partner channels.
  • Coordinate executive engagement Establish governance models, executive sponsorship, Quarterly Business Reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Lead cross-functional partnership execution Orchestrate sales, product, marketing, client services, finance, legal, and operations teams to activate and scale partnerships.
  • Expand Visa distribution and market reach Help partners integrate and promote Visa solutions across their platforms, offerings, and client relationships.
  • Influence product and commercial strategy Capture market insights and partner feedback to improve solution positioning, commercialization, and competitive differentiation.
  • Own partnership performance Maintain accountability for revenue, pipeline, adoption metrics, business plans, and overall partnership health.
  • Build scalable partnership models Establish best practices, repeatable frameworks, and execution disciplines that accelerate time-to-revenue across the ecosystem.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 10+ years in partnerships, business development, sales, alliances, fintech, payments, consulting, or technology
  • Experience managing executive relationships with large strategic partners
  • Demonstrated success driving partner-sourced revenue and joint go-to-market initiatives
  • Strong commercial negotiation and business planning experience
  • Ability to influence without direct authority across large matrixed organizations
  • Experience with financial services, payments, processors, fintechs, or technology platforms

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $130,600 to $246,200 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). If you are located in Colorado, the estimated salary range for this position is $ to $ USD per year. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
