YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Vaccination Crew Team Member is responsible for vaccinating swine in a nursery or finisher facility under direction of the Vaccination Crew Team Leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Vaccinate hogs using proper injection techniques, animal handling, and vaccine handling procedures.
  • Properly wear all personal protective equipment outlined in the company standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Follow all biosecurity guidelines while performing all job duties
  • Properly wash and store equipment and clothing.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining office and farm areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Bilingual, Spanish and English.



WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours and weekends as requested.
