Overview
Serves as a strategic partner to the Chief of Health Plans, providing executive-level support for strategic planning, business performance, decision-making, and execution of key priorities. Synthesizes complex financial, clinical, operational, regulatory, quality, and member experience information into actionable insights, recommendations, and executive communications; coordinates the Health Plans leadership agenda and operating cadence; and translates strategic priorities into measurable objectives, milestones, and accountabilities. Works across Health Plans and enterprise functions, leads and coordinates high-priority cross-functional initiatives, monitors progress, risks, dependencies, and commitments, and promotes accountability and alignment. Supports executive and governance activities, including preparation for leadership, Board, committee, and regulatory discussions, and serves as a key liaison among the Chief of Health Plans, senior leadership, and enterprise stakeholders to facilitate effective decision-making and execution. What You Will Do
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief of Health Plans, providing analysis, perspective, and coordination to support decision-making and execution of key priorities.
- Prepare the Chief for critical meetings and engagements by synthesizing relevant business, financial, clinical, operational, and regulatory information and identifying key issues, decisions, and recommended actions.
- Manage the Health Plans leadership agenda and operating cadence, ensuring executive discussions are focused on strategic priorities, business performance, key decisions, and emerging risks.
- Anticipate issues and organizational dependencies requiring the Chief's attention and ensure appropriate context is available to support timely decision-making.
- Support executive communications, presentations, briefings, and other materials on behalf of the Chief of Health Plans.
- Coordinate and facilitate Health Plans strategic planning, annual priority-setting, and operating planning in partnership with the Chief and senior leadership.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear objectives, milestones, measures, and accountabilities and monitor progress against established goals.
- Coordinate regular reviews of Health Plans performance, synthesizing key financial, membership, quality, clinical, operational, regulatory, and member experience indicators.
- Identify significant trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps and provide insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
- Partner with senior leaders to address issues affecting performance and maintain alignment with Health Plans and enterprise priorities.
- Maintain an integrated view of the Chief's highest-priority initiatives, decisions, and commitments and provide visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and required actions.
- Lead or coordinate select strategic initiatives assigned by the Chief, particularly those requiring significant cross-functional collaboration or executive visibility.
- Convene and partner with leaders across Health Plans and enterprise functions to advance shared priorities, clarify responsibilities, and address execution barriers.
- Track key decisions and action items, promote accountability for follow-through, and escalate significant risks or unresolved issues requiring executive attention.
- Serve as a key liaison between the Chief of Health Plans, Health Plans leadership, and enterprise stakeholders to facilitate alignment and effective communication.
- Support the Chief in maintaining visibility into significant regulatory, compliance, quality, financial, operational, and governance matters affecting Health Plans.
- Coordinate Health Plans preparation and content for executive leadership, Board, committee, regulatory, and other governance discussions, as appropriate.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Quality, Finance, Government Affairs, and other subject-matter leaders to ensure material issues and commitments are appropriately surfaced and tracked.
- Prepare concise executive summaries that clearly communicate relevant context, implications, decision points, and recommended next steps.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field required
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years in executive support, board relations, project management, or a related administrative
leadership role - Experience working with senior executives; healthcare experience required
Pay Range
USD $172,900.00 - USD $230,500.00 /Yr.
