Position Title: Industrial Parts Hanger

Reporting To: Production Manager

Department: Manufacturing

We are looking for an Industrial Parts Hanger to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will play an important part in preparing components for the powder-coating and finishing process by safely and efficiently loading and unloading parts from racks, hooks, and conveyor systems.

Important: Due to the presence of electromagnetic fields associated with equipment used in this work area, individuals with pacemakers or certain implanted medical devices may not be permitted to work in this area.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hang and remove industrial parts from racks, hooks, load bars, and conveyor systems according to work orders, job specifications, and production schedules.
  • Inspect parts before processing to identify defects, damage, contamination, incorrect labeling, or other issues that could affect quality.
  • Properly position and space parts to ensure consistent and effective powder coating, curing, and finishing results.
  • Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and established processes accurately.
  • Maintain an organized and steady flow of parts and racks to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
  • Safely use hand tools and production equipment, including specialty hooks, load bars, grinders, hoists, and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Handle parts of varying sizes, shapes, and weights safely and efficiently.
  • Track and record completed work and production information as required.
  • Communicate damaged parts, missing components, quality concerns, equipment issues, or production delays to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements, including proper lifting and material-handling techniques.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous manufacturing, production, powder coating, or material-handling experience is preferred but not required.
  • Powder-coating or industrial finishing experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and production requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely while handling and hanging parts repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver parts and materials weighing up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn new processes, tools, and equipment.


WORK CONDITIONS

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in varied weather conditions and noise levels. Position works in an industrial manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to welding fumes, sparks, heat, smoke, dust, industrial noise, moving equipment, chemicals, and varying temperatures. Proper PPE and safety procedures are required. This list is not meant to cover every possible scenario but simply provides an outline. Employees may be assigned other tasks as needed.
