Overview The Nexus Water Group team has an opportunity for a Construction Manager. Responsible for construction oversight of the Company's planned capital and developer projects. The Construction Manager supports the Project Management Office to ensure that projects are built as per plans and specifications. Manages the day to day activities the of internal and external construction team so that projects are completed on budget and on schedule. Reviews plans and specifications in design and provides constructability feedback. Coordinates complex activities such as pipeline shutdowns, pump station start ups and operating without reservoirs with Customer Service, Project Management, Engineering, Regulators, Contractors, and Operations. Work Location and Schedule This position will travel between service areas near Jacksonville, FL. Schedule is Monday through Friday. After-hour and weekend on-call support may be required. Must be available to work shift work; weekend scheduling may be required. What You'll Do

SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of ten years of progressive construction experience in the water industry. Two years' experience leading teams. Working knowledge of public works projects and water collection, distribution and treatment systems. Computer Skills High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, Construction Project Management Software such as Autodesk PowerPoint, and Visio Certificates & Licenses Class C or better for Water Treatment and/or Wastewater Treatment and/or collection and/or Wastewater Collection. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Preferred, Project Management Institute Construction Professional (PMI-CP) or other professional organization equivalent designations. Other Requirements Has ability to perform water industry routine engineering practices and supervise personnel as assigned. Must be detail and goal oriented, able to independently plan and execute projects with minimal or no supervision. Often under deadline pressure, must be able to work effectively with several projects simultaneously. Experience with construction engineering/management, reviewing shop drawings and managing construction change orders is necessary. . Has ability to issue and receive oral and written instructions. Proven knowledge in the methods and theories of water production and distribution. Ability to manage and coordinate several projects and assignments at one time.
