ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN II Washington County, located in West Bend, Wisconsin, has an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Technician II/ Process Specialist within the County Attorney/Child Support Department. This position is responsible for tasks related to the daily operation of the child support agency, including financial and accounting duties, data entry, customer service and support, case initiation and closure, collections, court calendaring, and staff training. Normal business hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday. Starting hourly rate is $24.69; pay based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities
Work Direction and Decision Making Works under the general supervision of the Child Support Supervisor/Director. Decisions are made independently regarding work prioritization, entering information into systems, assisting case participants, interpreting court orders, and resolving job-related issues. Interaction This position includes significant contact with county employees, state agencies, employers, school districts, the general public, and others outside the organization. Essential Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles, county government organization, child support agency regulations, computer skills, and general office procedures. Ability to follow instructions, maintain accurate records, and interact effectively with coworkers and the public. Training and Experience A minimum of an Associate Degree in accounting or a related business field, or related experience, is preferred.
