ANNOUNCEMENT OF HRI HOURLY INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY WITH THE COLLEGE OF INTEGRATED HEALTH SCIENCES (SUNY ALBANY) TITLE: Hourly Intern II HOURLY RATE: $18/hour LOCATION: Albany, NY ANTICIPATED START DATE AND END DATE: September 10th 2026 - December 17th 2026 APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF HOURS/WEEK: 20 hours per week MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate level: Qualified candidates must be either an MPH or an MS Epidemiology student at SUNY Albany's College of Integrated Health Sciences; AND must have completed at least 24 credits of coursework toward their degree including at least four of the core courses; AND must have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better AND are unable to participate in an internship if on academic probation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of SAS Biostatistics course or knowledge of SAS software RESPONSIBILITIES: The Hourly Intern II will play an active role in analyzing data from internal and external sources to generate updated statistics for public reporting. The incumbent will gain hands-on experience working with large datasets using SAS and other software, strengthening their data management and analysis skills. Specific tasks will include cleaning and preparing datasets, calculating occupational injury, illness, and death statistics, producing summary tables and figures, and ensuring the accuracy of results for inclusion on Bureau of Occupational Health and Injury Prevention's (BOHIP) website. The incumbent will perform other appropriate related duties.
