Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking two seasonal Unit Admin Specialists for the Department of Family and Community Health Sciences within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (
SEBS). The positions are temporary for approximately 10 weeks but may be extended based on grant funding, and will be located in the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Office, one in Salem County, NJ and the other in Somerset County, NJ. Working under the direction of the Project Manager and Principal Investigator, these positions will support the implementation of a federally funded community rural health transformation project by assisting with instructional training, education, community outreach, and participant engagement activities.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists with the delivery of evidence-based health education curricula.
- Supports the development and coordination of Faith in Prevention Networks and School Wellness Networks.
- Conducts educational instruction for community participants.
- Assists with participant recruitment, enrollment, communication, retention, and follow-up activities to promote sustained engagement in project initiatives.
- Coordinates educational sessions, prepare instructional materials, maintain program records and databases, support data collection and reporting activities.
- Collaborates with community organizations and project partners to facilitate outreach and program implementation.
- Provides logistical support for meetings, trainings, and special events and perform other project-related duties as assigned to ensure the successful implementation of all grant activities.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience in research, education, and/or community outreach and development, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with diverse groups/clientele.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, and working knowledge of cloud-based document sharing applications, on-line learning management systems, and reporting systems.
