Job Overview The School Nutrition Specialist is responsible for the direct supervision and evaluation of operations for a very diverse group of staff that prepare and serve meals to students in 12-16 schools. This position is required to have an in-depth working knowledge of regulations governing school nutrition programs, as well as financial management and key performance indicators. Specialization in one or more areas of operations is required based on the needs of School Nutrition Services. In addition to supervision of School Nutrition Services staff in schools, this position may be assigned primarily to train school nutrition workers, conduct nutrition education, develop culinary concepts, manage contracts, manage alternate feeding programs, develop training, or implement school nutrition services in schools. Qualifications Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable. Education Associate's degree in hospitality management, nutrition, dietetics or nutrition education Experience Five (5) years' experience Licenses and Certifications Must have current Sanitation Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Reports to: Coordinator, School Nutrition FLSA Status: Exempt Months/Days/Hours: 12 months/ 254 days/8 hours per day Salary Level: Scale B/Universal - Exempt Level 13 Salary Scale: https://www.lcps.org/compensation Salary Range: $83,413 -$154,107 Remote Work Eligible: Partial Collective Bargaining Unit: Non-Union | |
