Position Title: Full-time Inpatient Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist

Location: Shreveport, LA
Brentwood Hospital provides an inpatient mental health program for children 4-12 in need of around-the-clock access to care and supervision in a comfortable and compassionate environment.

Position overview:

• Role:Full-time Inpatient Child/Adolescent Position
• Patient Population:ages 4-12
• Schedule:Monday-Friday, daytime hours
• Weekend Coverage:1:6 Saturday/Sunday in-person rounding.
• Weekday Call:One evening call shift per week by phone only.
• Employment Type:Full-time employed position.
• Additional earnings potential:Extra call options and Productivity Bonus Plan.Faculty opportunities for residents and fellows are available once board certified.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for geriatric/senior adult patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
• Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education:M.D./D.O. with Board Eligibility/Certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Training:Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship program.
• Licensure:Louisiana medical license in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
