Looking for CNC Programmer jobs in Casa Grande where precision, technology, and craftsmanship come together? This opportunity lets you program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture high-quality components while supporting efficient production and exceptional quality.

The main function of the CNC Programmer is to translate 2D mechanical drawings into programs to run on both CNC Turret Punch Presses and Flatbed Laser machines. Job responsibilities will include creating programs, helping to maintain the machinery and helping to optimize both machine and material utilization.

Education Requirements



  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Machining, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and 4+ years of manufacturing experience considered
  • Training in CNC programming, CAD drafting, or fabrication processes preferred


Experience Requirements



  • Experience creating and modifying CNC programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication programming software
  • Experience creating and modifying CAD drawings, preferably in AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with CNC punch, laser, and fabrication equipment
  • Experience supporting production teams, prototypes, and engineering changes


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Amada equipment and programming software
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD required; SolidEdge and SolidWorks experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to analyze production data and implement process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to move throughout the production floor and interact with equipment operators
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and handle tooling or materials as needed
  • Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods


Job Duties



  • Create CNC programs for new products and production requirements
  • Nest parts to maximize material utilization and minimize waste
  • Update CNC programs to support engineering changes and product revisions
  • Troubleshoot CNC programming and machine-related issues
  • Assist with CNC machine maintenance and operator training
  • Manage punch tooling and laser consumable inventories
  • Monitor tool wear and implement routine inspection processes
  • Track machine utilization and develop strategies to improve efficiency
  • Analyze and improve material yield, scrap rates, and production performance
  • Develop processes to improve filler part management and overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Collaborate with assembly operators, engineers, and production teams to support prototype builds and continuous improvement initiatives
