We invest our clients' capital across a range of fixed income and credit opportunities, leveraging our decades of experience navigating complex debt markets. Our flexible capital base and deep relationships with issuers have helped us become one of the world's largest providers of traditional and nontraditional solutions for companies that need financing and investors who seek strong risk-adjusted returns. We believe each of us is here to help others succeed and this has led to PIMCO being recognized as an innovator, industry thought leader and trusted advisor to our clients. Position DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Vice President, Alternatives Accounting Manager - Income & Yield Forecasting (VP, Alts AM) to join PIMCO's Accounting and Yield Services (PAY) Group. This team is responsible for operating PIMCO's proprietary income and yield forecasting platform (PAY), which provides forward-looking income forecasting, accounting analysis, and decision-support insights across a broad range of investment products and strategies. PAY is used by the Executive Office, Portfolio Managers, Product Strategists, Fund Management, and other senior stakeholders to evaluate expected income, yield, distributions, and related outcomes, helping to inform portfolio positioning, distribution planning, risk assessment, and strategic business decisions. The VP, Alts AM will play a key role in expanding analytical and forecasting capabilities across PIMCO's alternatives platform. In addition to supporting existing forecasting processes, the successful candidate will help develop, refine, and scale forecasting methodologies for increasingly complex alternative investment products and fund structures. This is a highly visible and hands-on role at the intersection of investments, accounting, forecasting, and analytics. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on alternative investment forecasting, providing analyses and insights to Portfolio Managers, Product Strategists, Executive Leadership, Boards, and other senior stakeholders. Success in the role requires a broad understanding of alternative investment strategies and a deep appreciation of how underlying investments, portfolio structures, cash flows, valuations, distributions, and investor outcomes influence forecast assumptions and results. The ideal candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves and actively engage in the work, diving into complex data, investigating anomalies, challenging assumptions, and understanding the underlying drivers behind forecast results. The VP, Alts AM will combine strong technical accounting and alternatives investment expertise with analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and sound judgment. This role is as much about investigative problem-solving and decision support as it is about forecasting. We are seeking someone who enjoys research, gets to the root cause of issues, and translates complex findings into clear, actionable insights that help stakeholders make better decisions. The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and credibly to sophisticated audiences is critical. This is an opportunity to help build and scale a growing capability supporting some of the firm's most important alternatives initiatives while partnering directly with key stakeholders across the business. The VP, Alts AM will also play an important role in the continued evolution of PIMCO's proprietary forecasting platform and related business processes, requiring close collaboration with technology teams, data providers, and business partners. This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise across a broad range of alternative investment products and strategies, help shape a critical forecasting function, and directly influence investment and business decisions across the firm.
