What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated engineering technician to support battery cell development testing with an emphasis on mechanical reliability. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and technical peers to test multiple cell formats under development using cell cyclers, vibration tables, and environmental chambers in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with test engineers to develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols to validate battery cell performance
- Perform hands-on battery cell testing and data collection
- Prepare and instrument test setups, execute tests, and record results on battery cells
- Provide clear documentation of test results, inspection findings, and technical issues to support data-driven decisions
- Follow established procedures and contribute updates to work instructions and troubleshooting guides
- Perform initial troubleshooting of tester and connections related to test execution failures
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Practical knowledge of DC electrical theory and battery cell components preferred
- Functional knowledge of Excel required
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced lab environment and communicate status and blockers proactively
- Ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Expected Compensation
$23.18 - $62.13/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
