Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering The Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department is one of the largest academic units at Missouri S&T and supports both undergraduate and graduate education. The department conducts instruction, laboratory activities, and sponsored research across a broad range of engineering areas and secures substantial research funding to support these efforts. Facilities provide opportunities for hands-on learning and research engagement, contributing to both instructional and scholarly activity. Ongoing and future initiatives, including the Protoplex building, expand research and collaboration space for students, faculty, and industry partners. Job Description
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri S&T is seeking an electronics technician to serve various roles, including setting up and maintaining the instructional lab equipment at the MSU campus, based on the course schedule. The technician will also be responsible for assisting in the development of new equipment and experiment systems for the mechanical engineering cooperative program at MSU. As time allows, the technician will assist in development, construction and maintenance of both instructional lab and research lab equipment for the S&T campus Mechanical and Aerospace department. Therefore, the successful candidate must be a motivated, independent, electronics technician capable of handling multiple tasks and projects in multiple locations. This position will require frequent travel to the MSU campus labs and coordination between his duties on the two campuses. Primary duties and attributes:
Minimum Qualifications
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $17.40-$23.85 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
