JACKSON ELECTRIC MEMBERSHIP CORPORATION JEFFERSON, GEORGIA POSITION DESCRIPTION Residential Marketing Intern POSITION OBJECTIVES To support the Residential Marketing department to ensure tasks are completed as needed. To provide support to internal and external customers as needed. To work on projects as directed which may include working with various internal and external stakeholders related to Residential Marketing programs and events, as desired by Jackson EMC. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE: Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products or equivalent software. Demonstrated interest in customer service, project management, or event planning is preferred. KNOWLEDGE: Must possess a basic knowledge of the principles and practices of effective communication, writing and customer relations. SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, as well as the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Ability to work independently with general guidance, manage priorities effectively, and seek clarification when needed. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND CONDITIONS Reports to: Director, Residential Marketing Directs: None Internal: Shall foster supportive internal relationships essential to fulfilling the functions of the position, achieving expected results, and promoting teamwork and a cooperative spirit throughout the organization. External: Shall maintain supportive relationships with member-owners, the general public, and other contacts to assure that satisfactory results are achieved. This position is a combination of sedentary work and some heavy work, including lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, and kneeling; requires visual acuity in machine operation (including inspection); requires ability to hear and talk, and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The employee is encouraged to use initiative and sound business judgment in working for the best interests of the Cooperative. This document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an "at-will" employment relationship. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist the Manager of Member Engagement with loan tracking, data entry, and reporting. 2. Work with the Manager of Member Engagement on external trade ally newsletter creation. 3. Assist the Residential Marketing team with event preparation and execution. 4. Work with the Manager of Residential New Development on rate reassignments and other projects as needed. 5. Work with the Director of Residential Marketing on program tracking and technology projects as assigned. 6. Assist the Member Relations Coordinator by monitoring the phone queue, responding to member emails, and assigning CRM tasks. 7. Assist with premium, literature, and display inventory, distribution, and organization. 8. Process and fulfill literature requests from members. 9. Provide general office support by scanning, copying, filing, and preparing manuals, correspondence, and other materials as needed. 10. Assist with weekly member rebate check reconciliation. 11. Be familiar with and follow the best safety practices set forth in the cooperative's Safety Manual. 12. Perform such other duties as may be required or directed. | |
