Assistant/Associate Professor - Ladder Rank

The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis seeks applications for full-time faculty at the ladder rank (tenure track) of assistant or associate professor. Associate professor rank holds tenure at UC Davis. We invite applications from scholars with productive programs of science whose work is focused on optimizing the health of individuals and communities.

We are particularly interested in candidates with impactful scholarship that aligns with one or more of the following topical areas:

Community and Population Health

* Health-related social needs

* Community-partnered research

* Health policy, global health, life course health development, or prevention science

* Methodological expertise in qualitative or mixed method approaches, implementation science, and/or community-based participatory research

Digital Health Methods and Interventions

* Human-centered design for emerging health technologies

* Precision nursing and health care, personalized digital health (including mHealth), smart home, and community-level technology clinical trials

* Methodological expertise in digital health devices, data integration and harmonization methods, predictive analytics, and/or artificial intelligence to advance health

A PhD or other doctorate (or equivalent international degree) plus teaching, mentoring, and research experience is required at the time of application. At least one degree in nursing or nursing science.

1. Excellence in research that complements or extends existing research programs in the school.
2. Demonstrated potential ability to lead research teams, collaborate, mentor, and work in interdisciplinary environments.
3. Evidence of previous extramural funding in the area of research.
   4, Evidence of a strong commitment to the advancement of health equity and inclusion. Successful candidates identify how this commitment integrates with their teaching, research and service.
4. Excellence in teaching that demonstrates potential or evidence of ability to develop graduate-level nursing courses for clinical and non-clinical programs, and to mentor doctoral nursing students.
5. Excellence in service that demonstrates potential or evidence of participation and leadership at the university, local, state and national levels.
