Now Hiring: Powertrain Design Release Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Pay Rate: Up to $49.00/hr
Looking for an opportunity to apply your engineering expertise in a fast-paced automotive environment? Join a collaborative team focused on supporting the release and validation of driveline service parts, including transmissions, transfer cases, drive shafts, and related powertrain components. This engineering role offers hands-on involvement with product releases, engineering documentation, supplier coordination, and validation activities.
Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering experience
  • Experience in design release engineering, process engineering, test engineering, or a related automotive engineering field preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a cross-functional environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; GD&T knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with Teamcenter, PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, or related quality systems preferred
  • Occasional travel within the U.S. (approximately 6 trips per year)



Job Duties


  • Support the release and implementation of remanufactured driveline and powertrain service parts
  • Create and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and engineering documentation
  • Coordinate product releases with purchasing, inventory, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Review supplier PPAP documentation, deviation requests, and validation requirements
  • Track testing activities, analyze results, and support engineering approvals
  • Assist with cost reduction, warranty improvement, and process optimization initiatives
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and service procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches
