Description and Requirements
Position Overview

Motorola Mobility is seeking an experienced and strategic logistics leader to join the Mobile Business Group (MBG) Global Logistics team. This role is responsible for leading Logistics Operations across North America and Latin America, supporting the Motorola smartphone business and ensuring world-class execution of end-to-end supply chain and distribution activities.

The successful candidate will oversee logistics operations from factory shipment through final delivery to customers and business partners, while managing regional distribution center operations across Latin America and Brazil. This leader will drive operational excellence, build organizational capability, and partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve and exceed business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Logistics Strategy & Operations
  • Lead all North America and Latin America logistics operations for the Motorola smartphone business.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics execution from manufacturing facilities through final delivery to customers, distributors, carriers, retailers, and business partners.
  • Oversee regional distribution center operations, including facilities in Latin America South (LA-S) and Brazil.
  • Ensure logistics performance meets cost, service, quality, and inventory objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies that support business growth, operational scalability, and customer satisfaction.
Leadership & Organization Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing logistics operations team across multiple geographies.
  • Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and workforce optimization.
  • Drive talent acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies to maintain a best-in-class logistics organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Partner & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage strategic relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), transportation partners, and distribution center operators.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Operations, Supply Planning, Sales, Customer Operations, and Global Logistics teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Establish performance metrics and governance processes to drive operational excellence among logistics partners.
  • Resolve complex operational challenges and implement solutions that improve service levels and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
  • Identify opportunities to optimize transportation, warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment processes.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, operational efficiency, customer experience, and service reliability.
  • Drive transformation initiatives and change management programs across the logistics network.
  • Utilize data and analytics to support decision-making and measure operational performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive logistics and supply chain management experience with significant responsibility across North America and Latin America.
  • Experience working with a global manufacturer, technology company, consumer electronics organization, or leading third-party logistics provider.
  • Proven success managing large-scale logistics operations spanning transportation, warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including geographically dispersed and remote organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics networks, distribution center operations, freight management, customs considerations, and regional supply chain practices across North America and Latin America.
  • Experience managing strategic supplier and logistics partner relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline).
  • Experience supporting fast-paced consumer technology, mobile device, electronics, or telecommunications businesses.
  • Familiarity with global supply chain systems, transportation management platforms, and warehouse management systems.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent supply chain credentials.
