Job Description




Allied Universal is hiring a Nuclear Security Training Coordinator. The Security Training Coordinator ensures that the security protection services provided at any nuclear facility meets or exceed requirements set forth in policy, contracts, and applicable laws through the required Technical and Qualification training program. This position develops and maintains training practices to foster a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE). The position is responsible to for developing training materials, conducting training, and maintaining documentation to ensure that security personnel are properly trained and qualified for the job tasks they perform. The Training Coordinator/Manager manages the drill and exercise programs to ensure they meet regulatory compliance. In addition to training requirements, the position may track and ensure that security personnel are current in all job qualifications and/or certifications. The Training Coordinator/Manager supervises training instructors and staff to ensure that they are qualified and are conducting training tasks according to policy and procedures. This position assists with hiring and promotion processes.

  • Pay Rate $126,235.20
  • Must have a valid Driver's license and be 21+years of age
  • MUST have current or previous Rifle Instructor Certifications
  • MUST have current or prior Nuclear Training Instructor Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the Training and Qualification program for nuclear security force members
  • Supervise training program instructors and staff; perform periodic evaluations and administer corrective discipline as needed
  • Administer state guard (officer) licensing program as Training Agent (as required)
  • Manage regulatory compliance for drills and exercises
  • Manage purchasing and control of inventory for training program supplies and equipment
  • Document and track compliance with qualification requirements for security force members
  • Manage the development of training curriculum, lesson plans, and materials
  • Conduct evaluation and assessment of contract security personnel
  • Participate in decision making for promotion of contract security personnel
  • Provide professional development of nuclear security employees
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and make recommendations for selection and placement of personnel
  • Ensure a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) is present and properly reinforced

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a high School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of combined nuclear security training, instructional, supervisory, or management experience, including prior experience as a Nuclear Security Training Instructor.
  • Must have current or previous Rifle Instructor Certifications
  • Must have current or prior Nuclear Training Instructor Experience
  • Knowledge and experience with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional supervisory/management experience in the implementation of training programs and firearms instructions at a nuclear facility
  • College degree in Criminal Justice, Education/Training, Business Management, or another related field
  • Knowledge or experience with state-government license training programs or certifications
  • Other professional regulatory certifications
  • Proven background of implementing cultural and process change across organizations in a service-oriented industry
