Overview Hybrid Role: May be based in Somerset, NJ, Plainview, NJ, or Beverly, MA. Are you passionate about applying AI to solve complex engineering challenges and improve how teams work? Veeco is seeking an AI Applications Engineer to help identify, develop, and deploy AI-enabled solutions that enhance engineering productivity, accelerate decision-making, and drive innovation across the organization. In this highly visible role, you will partner with engineering, IT, and business teams to evaluate emerging technologies, develop practical AI applications, and support the adoption of solutions that deliver measurable business value. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge AI technologies while helping shape Veeco's digital transformation strategy. Responsibilities

Work Location This is a hybrid position and may be based at any of Veeco's U.S. locations in Somerset, NJ or Plainview, NY. Alternatively, Veeco will consider candidates based near Beverly, MA. Regular in-person collaboration is expected to support workshops, discovery sessions, pilot activities, implementation efforts, and partnership with product development teams. Travel Expectations The role requires flexibility to work on-site as business needs dictate, while also supporting remote work as part of Veeco's hybrid work model. Travel of up to 30% is expected between Veeco locations and other business destinations to support cross-functional initiatives, project execution, and stakeholder engagement. Candidates should be able to travel as needed to effectively collaborate across Veeco's product development and operational teams.
