The Coordinator of Student Activities/Rebbe is a member of the Judaic Studies faculty responsible for leading MTA's informal Jewish education program. This educator works closely with students to create meaningful learning experiences that foster Torah values, Jewish identity, leadership, school spirit, and community. Through teaching, mentorship, experiential programming, and student engagement, the Coordinator helps extend MTA's educational mission beyond the classroom.

Position Responsibilities:

The Coordinator of Student Activities/Rebbe is a member of the Judaic Studies faculty responsible for leading MTA's informal Jewish education program. This educator works closely with students to create meaningful learning experiences that foster Torah values, Jewish identity, leadership, school spirit, and community. Through teaching, mentorship, experiential programming, and student engagement, the Coordinator helps extend MTA's educational mission beyond the classroom.

Educational Leadership
Design and facilitate daily informal education programming for students.
- Teach evening Torah classes and educational programs twice weekly.
Lead educational programming and learning opportunities during Shabbatot and other school programs.
Develop engaging educational experiences that complement and reinforce the school's formal curriculum.
- Serve as a substitute teacher in Judaic Studies classes and support the Judaic Studies faculty as needed.
- Mentor students and foster their religious, personal, and leadership development.
Student Activities and Experiential Education
- Plan and oversee educational trips, Shabbatonim, grade-level programs, and special events, including:
- Yeshiva-wide and community Shabbatonim
- Sophomore, Junior, and Senior trips
- Grade-level programs and activities
- Develop and implement programming around the Jewish calendar, including Simchat Beit HaShoeva, Purim, Yom HaZikaron, Yom HaAtzmaut, Yom Yerushalayim, Lag B'Omer, and Shavuot.
- Cultivate a positive, engaging school culture that promotes ruach, community, and student involvement.
- Advise Student Council and develop student leadership opportunities.
- Organize and oversee clubs, academic teams, and the annual Club Fair.
- Coordinate major student programs, including Color War and other school-wide events.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding programs and opportunities.
Dormitory Leadership
- Serve as Head of the High School Dormitory.
- Develop and implement a vision for the residential student experience.
- Recruit, supervise, and mentor resident advisors.
- Serve as the primary liaison between students, parents, residential staff, and school administration.
Planning and Administration

Experience & Educational Background:
|
- Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of related experience
- Rabbinic ordination is preferred
|

Candidates should demonstrate charisma and warmth, and be able to relate to a wide range of stakeholders and community members and should have the skills necessary to effectively network with local institutions. Candidates should be passionate about education and specifically informal education and its capacity to inspire young people. Candidates should love working with young adults and be committed to providing them with opportunities to lead.
