Your responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: Perform functions related to the processing of payroll. Provides administrative support to the Corporate Human Resource Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now systems.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Reinforces organization's core values through modeling and communication.
  • Schedules interviews for hiring managers for open positions as requested.
  • Maintains records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures done through 3rd party software.
  • Conducts new employee orientation and coordinates with hiring managers and safety department to schedule safety orientation / training.
  • Monitors FMLA activity through The Hartford, third party vendor, advises employees and supervisors accordingly.
  • Schedules annual hearing tests as mandated by OSHA.
  • Posts hourly bids in accordance with the Production Managers / CBA, empties plant bid boxes and maintains bid book.
  • Maintains bulletin boards to ensure compliance with federal and state law posting requirements.
  • Updates and maintains hourly and salaried employee data in HRIS database.
  • Prepares new employee files, files confidential papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Maintains Worker's Compensation files and confidential filing systems for employee medical information.
  • Assists Corporate HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • Log vacation days for hourly employees in excel spreadsheet.
  • Support supervisors / managers using the timekeeping system in place for hourly employees.
  • Enter employees into SAP upon hire
  • Comply with FLSA laws
  • Import PTO balances and pay changes in ADP

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Human Resource Manager
  • Human Resource Generalist

SKILLS, ABILITIES & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources and Federal/state/local employment-related laws.
  • Prior experience with an HRIS database and payroll processing required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communication or HR field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPORT CONTROL: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.

SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $70,000
