As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Coordinator in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on integrity. This armed post requires an armed guard card or license and applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verify authorization for personnel and visitors, and maintain required logs and reports.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies for armed post assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
