Description

The Department of Computational Medicine is looking to hire a Staff Researcher to oversee research operations, coordinate faculty-led research initiatives and projects, manage computational laboratory operations and research cores, review research-related expenditures, and provide technical and administrative support to advance multidisciplinary research. The ideal candidate will have expertise in computational disciplines such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, biostatistics, biomathematics, and computational genomics.

Annual range: $70,950.24-$114,109.20

Qualifications

Required:

  • Education & experience equivalent to a Master's degree in engineering, mathematical computational, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine priorities, establish research methodology, andcoordinate all related research activities of the research projects in order to analyzeresults and make recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multi-functional and multi-disciplinary research programs.
  • Ability to organize and work out techniques for research projects.
  • Ability to oversee numerous laboratory personnel to support day-to-day laboratoryresearch functions. Ability to develop and support solutions to complex computational research problems. Demonstrated administrative and research skills to project manage research projects.
  • Previous experience in standardizing new techniques and disseminatingmethodologies. Skill in scientific and technical writing on a variety of subject matter to facilitatepublishing in research journals.
  • Skill in setting long-term planning goals, including planning, directing, controllingand evaluating the research projects to ensure benchmarks are met.
  • Expertise in grant writing and Federal, State, and provide industry fundingrequirements. Overall up-to-date knowledge of computational medicine fields, in order to provideassistance to a diverse group of faculty and interests.
