WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Supervise the implementation, monitoring and administration of all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act compliance and fraud prevention program together with the VP/BSA/Fraud Officer. Required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of the BSA Risk department and will be responsible for monitoring and developing risk strategies for the credit union. Lead the development of fraud processes, strategies and controls to mitigate fraud risk from origination. Responsibilities include evaluation of tools and processes to enhance detection, reporting on overall fraud losses and trends in addition to monitoring strategy performance and data analysis. Directly oversee the duties of Fraud Analysts such as investigating multiple frauds in accordance with policies and procedures, performing thorough account transaction analysis for the purpose of identifying suspicious or fraudulent activity, analysis of reporting for the purposes of reducing risk to the credit union, and filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm at our Plymouth Corporate Office location; exempt.

In addition:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Criminal Justice or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial industry, banking operations, lending, law enforcement, fraud or security.
  • Management experience, required.
  • Experience working within the areas of BSA/AML, risk and fraud.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit unions fraud prevention controls, risk processes, systems and data environments.
  • Previous experience investigating payment fraud, new account fraud, or cross channel fraud alerts.
  • Professional Certification from a financial industry group (i.e. CAMs, CFE, CFCS, CUNA Certification, etc.) preferred.
  • Participation and compliance with internal continuing education and training.
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC/fraud regulations.
  • Experienced in the areas of: 314(a)(b), CTR, SAR, and OFAC.
  • Ability to manage time and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to gather, organize, and interpret data.
  • Ability to formulate independent preliminary conclusions.
  • Strong attention to detail with an investigative approach.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement when assessing risk.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to TruStone's policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to include written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and handle difficult situations with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • Experienced using dynamic BSA/AML/Fraud monitoring systems.
  • Maintains awareness of enterprise compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML) obligations, and follows internal policies and escalation protocols as applicable.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

The salary range for this position is $73,500 to $90,000 per year. In addition, we offer:
