The firm is seeking a full-time Conference Center Steward to become an integral part of the Conference Services Department.

The Conference Center Steward will be under the observation of the Conference Center Ops Lead and the Conference Center Supervisor. As a Conference Center Steward you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and impeccable presentation of our prestigious law firm's conference center spaces. Your attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and exceptional customer service skills will contribute to creating a professional and welcoming environment for our clients, partners, and employees.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conference Center Support
  • Set up, arrange, and dismantle meeting rooms and event spaces according to specifications, ensuring all furniture and amenities are in place.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic appeal of the conference center at all times.
  • Assist with event logistics, setup arrangements, and coordination with vendors.
  • Act as a point of contact during events, addressing any immediate needs or concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the Conference Coordinator team to ensure successful execution of conferences, meetings, seminars, and other events held in the conference center spaces.
Client and Guest Services
  • Greet and assist clients, partners, and visitors with a professional demeanor, addressing their needs and inquiries with urgency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating and fulfilling the requirements of clients and guests daily.
Manual Labor and Physical Demands
  • This role involves significant manual labor, including lifting, moving, and arranging furniture and equipment.
  • Must be capable of performing physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Ensure all physical tasks are carried out safely and in compliance with firm policies and guidelines.
Space Management
  • Conference Center on floors 51 and 52, including conference rooms, common spaces, restrooms, and the cafe for special occasions.
  • Practice Floor Conference Spaces on floors 40 - 50, including conference rooms and social hubs, exclusively for special events.
Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate departments or personnel and follow up on corrective actions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Proven experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a corporate or upscale environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a polished and professional appearance of the conference center.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, to ensure the successful execution of events.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other staff members and departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively to meet deadlines while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Ability to perform manual labor and handle physical demands of the job.
  • Resourcefulness in finding solutions to logistical challenges and last-minute changes.
