Now Hiring: Inverter Testing Technologist Location: Allen Park, MI Pay Rate: $35.63/hr Schedule: Full-time Looking for a hands-on technical role with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology? Join a leading automotive research and development laboratory as an Inverter Testing Technologist. In this position, you'll help build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced power electronics testing systems that support next-generation vehicle technologies. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree in Automotive Technology or a related technical field preferred Experience Requirements 3+ years of experience in a testing, validation, R&D, or laboratory environment 2+ years of low-voltage and high-voltage wiring harness assembly experience Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, including LOTO practices Experience with machining, prototyping, fixture fabrication, or equipment assembly preferred Experience with soldering, precision measurement tools, blueprint reading, or 3D printing is a plus Job Duties Build and assemble electromechanical test equipment and fixtures Fabricate and inspect wiring harnesses and test components Install sensors and instrumentation on prototype assemblies Operate testing equipment, thermal chambers, and power systems Troubleshoot test setups and perform equipment maintenance Conduct test system teardown and component evaluations Support inventory management, shipping, receiving, and lab organization Maintain a safe and efficient work environment Physical Capabilities Ability to work with testing equipment and laboratory tools Ability to lift, move, and position materials and components as needed Ability to stand, bend, and work in a hands-on technical environment Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance Apply Now If you're an experienced technician who enjoys building, troubleshooting, and working with advanced technology, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
