Now Hiring: Inverter Testing Technologist
Location: Allen Park, MI

Pay Rate: $35.63/hr

Schedule: Full-time
Looking for a hands-on technical role with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology? Join a leading automotive research and development laboratory as an Inverter Testing Technologist. In this position, you'll help build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced power electronics testing systems that support next-generation vehicle technologies.
Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required

Associate degree in Automotive Technology or a related technical field preferred
Experience Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience in a testing, validation, R&D, or laboratory environment
  • 2+ years of low-voltage and high-voltage wiring harness assembly experience
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, including LOTO practices
  • Experience with machining, prototyping, fixture fabrication, or equipment assembly preferred
  • Experience with soldering, precision measurement tools, blueprint reading, or 3D printing is a plus



Job Duties


  • Build and assemble electromechanical test equipment and fixtures
  • Fabricate and inspect wiring harnesses and test components
  • Install sensors and instrumentation on prototype assemblies
  • Operate testing equipment, thermal chambers, and power systems
  • Troubleshoot test setups and perform equipment maintenance
  • Conduct test system teardown and component evaluations
  • Support inventory management, shipping, receiving, and lab organization
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

  • Ability to work with testing equipment and laboratory tools
  • Ability to lift, move, and position materials and components as needed
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work in a hands-on technical environment
