HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator who will report to the Manager of Human Resources, and who'll be tasked with providing onsite support and act as the on-site liaison to managers and employees at our Palm Bay, Florida facility and the broader HR team. As part of your role, you'll be significantly contributing to the organization's growth. You'll be a trusted advisor to the onsite team.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Onboarding and Offboarding Support: Conduct final interviews, support first day orientation for on-site new hires, ensuring all required paperwork and processes are completed.

  • Health & Safety Partnership: Partner with the Health & Safety team to conduct risk assessments. Advise employees on accident reporting procedures, assist with investigations as needed and near misses for the site. Work with the Health & Safety team as well as HR leadership to provide recommendations for corrective actions. Administer and support occupational health and safety programs by coordinating employee safety training, maintaining compliance documentation, and other regulatory requirements. Promote a safety-conscious work environment through ongoing communication, compliance monitoring, and partnership with site leadership.

  • Carry Out Administrative Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Organize employee records and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Provide fleet training for new hires and update driver info into system. Conduct annual driving record checks for employees with company vehicles.

  • Support Employees By Connecting them with Tools, Programming & Resources: Act as a liaison between employees, managers, and HR by connecting them with the appropriate resources, programs, and personnel to address HR-related needs. Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries and workplace concerns, ensuring matters are properly documented and escalated to HR leadership when necessary.

  • HR Administrative Tasks: Perform reconciliation of expenses; schedule exit interviews, and track relocation expenses. Prepare employee job and/or pay progressions (offer letters), employment verification letters, and term checklists as requested. Track employee anniversaries, assist with local office engagement duties, and complete education assistance reimbursement paperwork. Support corporate fleet administration by coordinating Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) transactions for company-owned assets, including trucks, trailers, vessels and demo units. This includes in-person visits to the DMV as needed to submit documentation and retrieve registrations and license plates. Perform other duties as necessary.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

  • 5 plus years of experience in an administrative function supporting HR or a similar role

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Initiative: Demonstrated track record of initiating and successfully implementing projects or ideas.

  • Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and departments.

  • Required to work onsite in the Palm Bay office 50% of the time, or the equivalent of 5 days per 2 weeks.

Preferred:

  • Health & Safety experience in a distribution, manufacturing or similar environment

  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws

  • Previous HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience

  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field
