Overview

The Admissions Specialist processes incoming applications from prospective students and documents the necessary items required for a final admissions decision. This position also reviews final documents (e.g., transcripts, letters of recommendation, licensure, ACT/SAT scores, etc.) and prepares admissions decision sheet for completed applicants. This position oversees all the data entries made into the student information system for new and prospective students.
Qualifications

Certifications: Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS), Education: Bachelor's Degree, Work Experience: Higher education
Responsibilities

Admissions Record Management and Applicant Communication

  • Verifying all application materials have been received. Communicating with prospective student regarding missing documents.
  • Organizing all received documents to create a composite GPA for admission decision
  • Preparing Admissions Decision Document for review by the Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Planning
  • Communicate weekly or as needed with applicants on documents still needing to be processed
  • Assist applicants with questions and concerns through in-person or telephone meetings to assure clarity around admissions processes
  • Refer applicants to other departments within Methodist College as needed for questions outside the scope of the role, such as financial aid, health records, etc.
  • Assist the Registrar with course articulation of transfer credit and related data entry into CAMS as needed.


Application Finalization Process

  • Provide completed files and Admission Decision Documents to the Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Planning
  • Prepares acceptance letter for signature

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $21.87per hour - $36.52per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
