Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the tactical execution of supply chain activities to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials from suppliers through production and into customer delivery. This role focuses on executing operational plans, resolving short-term supply challenges, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while supporting business objectives related to cost, quality, and service.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and action-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily supply planning activities to ensure uninterrupted material availability, including purchasing, job creation, and order intake from customers and communication to customers and internal stakeholders for schedule management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment actions based on demand, lead times, and safety stock targets.
  • Expedite purchase orders and production schedules to resolve material shortages.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order status, shipment schedules, and delivery performance.
  • Manage order exceptions, backorders, and supply disruptions while minimizing operational impact.
  • Analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare reports related to inventory levels, supplier performance, service levels, and forecast accuracy.
  • Identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Support strategic initiatives through data-driven analysis.
  • Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales to support execution of supply plans.
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities.
  • Communicate supply risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Support new product launches, promotions, and business growth initiatives.
  • Identify & implement opportunities to improve supply chain processes and reduce costs.Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement projects. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Help implement/update and optimize ERP and supply chain planning systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock to meet customer and production demands.
  • Be the "Voice of Customer" internally supporting timely and efficient communication with customers.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field is highly preferred. Candidates with relevant supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, procurement, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, JDE, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000 annual salary based on skills and experience.
