Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driving Patrols in Wood Village, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report concerns, and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers and associates. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to a caring, people-first workplace.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and incidents using established communication and documentation procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting store leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Support access control, crowd management, and emergency response activities while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent as required by the client.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
