Position Highlights

The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Dr. Travis Wheeler lab. This position centers on developing novel neural network approaches to predict protein conformational dynamics from fixed protein structures, addressing fundamental challenges in structural biology with broad applications in biomedical research. The successful candidate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary research environment at the intersection of artificial intelligence, structural biology, and bioinformatics, advancing innovative approaches that improve our understanding of protein function and support future discoveries in biology and medicine.

This is temporary position with an end date of March 30, 2027.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research projects.
  • Analyze research results and help determine next steps.
  • Write manuscripts and progress reports.
  • Help train undergraduates and graduate students in the lab.
  • Contribute to grant writing.
Minimum Qualifications PhD in computer science, computational biology, or related field. Dissertation must have focused on development of neural networks for analysis of proteins.
