Epic Ambulatory Project Manager (Remote) *Location:* 100% Remote (Preference for East Coast Candidates)
*Contract Length:* 6 Months *Industry:* Healthcare IT / Epic About the Opportunity A leading healthcare system is seeking an experienced *Epic Ambulatory Project Manager* to support high-visibility initiatives focused on ambulatory clinic expansion and Community Connect growth. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with executive leadership while driving strategic projects that impact patient access, operational efficiency, and organizational growth. This is a fully remote position within a collaborative team environment and is ideal for a project manager who thrives in complex healthcare environments and has deep experience managing Epic Ambulatory projects. What You'll Do As a Project Manager, you will lead and manage multiple healthcare IT initiatives from discovery through implementation and project closeout. You will work cross-functionally with business leaders, operational teams, technical stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery. *Key Responsibilities:* * Lead Epic Ambulatory and Community Connect initiatives from planning through execution * Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and resources across multiple projects * Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and work breakdown structures (WBS) * Facilitate project discovery activities, including business case development, assessments, and stakeholder alignment * Collaborate with executive leadership, clinical teams, operational leaders, and vendors * Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies * Ensure project objectives align with organizational goals and strategic initiatives * Drive stakeholder communication, reporting, and executive-level presentations * Coordinate resources across all project phases, including planning, execution, monitoring, and project closure * Support successful transition of project outcomes into operational workflows to ensure long-term sustainability Projects You'll Support Examples of current and upcoming initiatives include: * Ambulatory clinic growth and expansion projects * Epic Community Connect implementations and growth efforts * Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) initiatives * Telehealth programs, including school-based telehealth services * Dermatology module implementations * Clinic relocation and operational expansion projects What We're Looking For *Required Qualifications:* * Extensive Project Management experience within healthcare IT environments * Strong experience leading projects within the *Epic Ambulatory* space * Proven success supporting ambulatory clinic growth, expansion, or new clinic openings * Experience managing *Epic Community Connect* projects * Ability to work independently and drive projects with minimal oversight * Strong executive presence with experience presenting to leadership and stakeholders * Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams in remote environments Preferred Experience * Healthcare provider or health system experience * Experience managing medium-sized, multi-department initiatives * Strong budgeting, resource management, and risk mitigation expertise * Experience working with distributed teams and third-party vendors Why This Opportunity? * Support some of the healthcare system's most strategic growth initiatives * Work directly with a Program Manager and have visibility to director-level leadership * Join a highly collaborative, fully remote team * Make a direct impact on expanding patient access and driving revenue-generating healthcare initiatives * One-step interview process If you're an experienced *Epic Ambulatory Project Manager* looking to lead impactful healthcare transformation projects, we'd love to hear from you. *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Greenville, NC. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
