Great Lakes Management is looking for a full-time Roving Maintenance Technician! 40 hours per week, flexible hours, generally 8am to 4:30pm. This role will be required to travel to New Prague (24 hours per week), Prior Lake (8 hours per week) and Savage (8 hours per week), MN to provide maintenance support as needed. This position is required to be a part of an on-call rotation in Scott County, 3 weeks off-call and 1 week on-call. Must reside within 20 minutes of New Prague. Benefits: 401(k) Match Excellent and Affordable Healthcare Benefits Paid Vacation and Sick Leave Paid Holidays Floating Holidays Auto Mileage Reimbursement (site specific) Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed. Preventative maintenance with the TELS software program. Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently. Ordering supplies and keeping documented inventory. Changing filters, checking lighting, roofing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, and managing leaks. Knowledgeable of building codes and regulatory compliance issues. Reporting needs and conditions of the property, completing condition reports and inspections as needed. Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns. Maintain the grounds, trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc. Test the resident security systems as required. Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc. Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed. Maintenance Technician Qualifications: Minimum of one year of experience in maintenance. Experience in rental housing maintenance required. Boiler License preferred, but not required. Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows. Ability to motivate oneself and work independently. Current, valid driver's license. Maintenance Technician Schedule: This position is required to be a part of an on-call rotation, 3 weeks off-call and 1 week on-call. This position requires successful completion of a Kari Koskinen Manager Background Check, as required by Minnesota law for employees who may have access to tenants' homes. The background check will not be initiated until after an applicant has been selected for an interview, or if there is not an interview, before a conditional offer of employment is made to the applicant.
