Ability to read and write G-Code programs for CNC equipment.

This position is a highly responsible technical research position at UGA Instrument Shop. Incumbent is responsible for designing, repairing, and manufacturing complex scientific equipment.

Diagnose and repair a wide range of scientific instruments such as shakers, incubators, centrifuges, and specialized custombuilt equipment.

Work closely with researchers and students to develop, refine, repair, and modify custom scientific instruments and experimental equipment.

Develop and construct specialized scientific electrical systems incorporating PLC programming and alphanumericbased control logic.

Create and maintain work orders, procurement requests, and comprehensive documentation outlining the details of completed service activities.

Identify, source, and request to procure components and materials essential for scientific instrumentation repair, along with performing other supporting operational tasks.
