Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $111,100.00/Yr. - USD $185,100.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.


Description

SRC is searching for a Senior-level Space Advisor to support Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific and the greater Navy Space Cadre community. Specific to this effort, the Space Systems/Capability Portfolio provides specialized space technical expertise to the Navy and broader space domain awareness (SDA) community. This program has ongoing requirements for systems engineering, acquisition, and space subject matter expertise to support the Navy's new Maritime Space Officer (MSO) and greater Navy Space Cadre community, while also providing technical input for specialized software development and delivery to deliver a suite of space tools (both on SIPRnet and JWICS) to fulfill the Navy MSO functional needs. Duties & Responsibilities include:

    Advising NIWC Pacific, NAVWAR, and MSO community regarding Space Tools
  • Coordinating with external agencies including U.S. Navy, Space Systems Command, AFRL, DIU
  • Providing demonstrations for Space Tools to Government customers
  • Traveling to Maritime Operations Centers (MOC), COMCOM Headquarters, and MSOs to support Navy-specific Space Tools

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING



Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience with Military Systems for C4ISR for aggregation of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) data for Space Tools
  • Hands-on experience with Space Tools including: Space Defense Characterization Control System (SDCCS), FADE / MIST, BOHDI, and Scraawl
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE


Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Space Tools including Kahless, Spectra, TITANS, and TIBCO
  • Experience as a SETA supporting NAVWAR and Project Overmatch
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written skills


Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL.



Travel Requirements

  • Up to two weeks per month to NIWC Pacific facilities at Pearl Harbor Hawaii, Naval Information Warfighting Development Center (NIWDC) facilities at Norfolk Virginia
