Description

Mazak Corporation is looking for an HRIS Analyst to join the HR team. The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, and support of the Company's Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), including business intelligence (BI) reporting. This role partners with HR and business leaders to improve system performance, maintain data integrity, develop dashboards and reports, support system enhancements, and drive process improvements. The HRIS Analyst will also serve as the designated backup for payroll processing after completing required training.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Serve as the primary liaison with the HRIS system provider to communicate organizational needs, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate system enhancements.
* Collaborate with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate HRIS needs and recommend system solutions that support business objectives.
* Manage ongoing HRIS operations, including system configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
* Oversee and support ongoing data conversion efforts from legacy systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
* Develop, maintain, and enhance HR dashboards, business intelligence (BI) reports, and workforce reporting to provide leadership with timely, accurate, and actionable information.
* Partner with HR leadership and internal stakeholders to identify reporting needs, define reporting requirements, and develop meaningful dashboards and reports that support business decisions.
* Design and automate recurring HR reports to improve efficiency while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all HR systems.
* Utilize HRIS reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, and advanced Excel functionality to create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support operational and executive reporting needs.
* Analyze HRIS data and system performance to identify data quality concerns, operational opportunities, and process improvements. Develop recommendations and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement effective solutions.
* Design, evaluate, and implement HRIS workflows, system configurations, and process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
* Perform diagnostic testing to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
* Create and manage user access, roles, and permissions within the HRIS system in alignment with internal controls.
* Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and testing to ensure functionality aligns with organizational needs.
* Provide training and technical support to HRIS users, including developing user guides and documentation.
* Support time and attendance inquiries, including review and resolution of complex system-related issues involving timecards, PTO accruals, and system functionality.
* Serve as the designated backup for payroll processing after completing required training, assisting with payroll administration and ensuring continuity of payroll operations during planned or unplanned absences.
* Stay current with HRIS trends, innovations, and best practices to recommend continuous improvements.

Education/Certification:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant HRIS or analytical experience required.

Skills:
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) required.
* Experience with UKG Pro, UKG Workforce Management, and/or UKG Business Intelligence (BI) is strongly preferred; experience with comparable enterprise HRIS platforms will also be considered.
* Payroll processing experience is preferred, including a working knowledge of payroll systems, payroll compliance, and payroll best practices.
* Ability to learn payroll processes and successfully serve as the designated backup for payroll processing.
* Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms and related systems, including system configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and reporting.
* Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and compliance requirements, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
* Demonstrated experience developing business intelligence (BI) reports, dashboards, and executive-level reporting that provides actionable insights and supports business decision-making.
* Experience developing and maintaining dashboards using HRIS reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, or advanced Excel reporting techniques.
* Experience with UKG Pro, UKG Workforce Management, UKG Business Intelligence (BI), or similar HRIS and reporting platforms preferred, including experience with system administration, reporting, dashboard development, and business intelligence tools.
* Strong understanding of HR data governance, reporting structures, and data integrity principles.
* Experience identifying system issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
* Ability to design, evaluate, and improve HR workflows and system processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data and system-related challenges.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, PivotTables, formulas/functions, reporting, and data visualization.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train users and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
