We're seeking experienced, mission-driven Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our correctional healthcare team. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role with a strong emphasis on medication administration, ideal for LPNs who thrive in structured, protocol-driven environments and want to make a meaningful impact in an underserved patient population.

What You'll Do
  • Administer medications to a high-volume patient population, including narcotics, psychiatric medications, and chronic care regimens, in accordance with facility protocols and DC nursing regulations
  • Conduct medication pass with accuracy, efficiency, and strict adherence to the 5 Rights of medication administration
  • Monitor patients for medication side effects, adverse reactions, and therapeutic response
  • Document all care and medication administration accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Perform vital signs, basic wound care, and other nursing interventions as directed by RN/provider orders
  • Respond to medical emergencies and participate in sick call and intake screenings as needed
  • Communicate effectively with custody staff, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and professional presence within a correctional environment
Available Shifts

Full-Time:

  • 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Part-Time:

  • Minimum 3 days/week, including 1 weekend day
  • Weekend-Only option available
