Job Description
CSCI Consulting is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to support its Department of War (DoW / DoD) client. This role is responsible for validating that configured functionality, integrations, calculations, workflows, and reporting capabilities operate as intended before release and deployment. The QA Analyst will work closely with functional consultants, developers, business stakeholders, finance users, and project leadership to support test planning, test execution, defect management, regression testing, and deployment readiness activities. This position plays a critical role throughout System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), agency certification, validation, deployment, and post-production stabilization efforts in a highly controlled federal program environment.
Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and production readiness activities
- Develop test cases, test scripts, and validation scenarios based on approved business requirements, process designs, controls, and expected system behavior
- Verify configuration and system functionality trace to approved functional and technical requirements
- Execute test scripts and document results across financial processes, workflows, calculations, reports, dashboards, and system interfaces
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution and retesting
- Coordinate with developers, functional analysts, and stakeholders to investigate issues and validate corrective actions
- Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable following enhancements or defect remediation
- Validate test data quality, completeness, and suitability for business scenarios and reporting requirements
- Confirm end-to-end processing from source data through calculations, reconciliations, reporting outputs, and downstream system integrations
- Maintain test evidence, execution logs, defect records, traceability documentation, and sign-off support materials
- Support business user readiness activities and help track critical issues affecting deployment decisions
- Participate in go-live support, hypercare, and post-production validation to ensure operational stability
Minimum Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted
- 5-10+ years of experience supporting quality assurance, testing, validation, or system certification activities for enterprise applications
- Experience supporting OneStream, ERP, EPM, financial management, or enterprise business system implementations
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including test planning, script development, execution, defect management, regression testing, and sign-off processes
- Ability to translate business requirements, process flows, controls, and reporting needs into structured test scenarios and validation procedures
- Experience validating end-to-end business processes, system calculations, interfaces, workflows, and reporting outputs
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT, deployment readiness reviews, and post-go-live stabilization efforts
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting federal financial management, budgeting, accounting, reporting, or performance management systems
- Familiarity with federal financial controls, reconciliation requirements, and reporting validation processes
- Experience working within compliance-driven environments requiring traceability, approval workflows, and formal testing governance
- Knowledge of testing tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar platforms
- Experience supporting agency certification, validation activities, and production readiness reviews
- Familiarity with data validation, interface testing, reconciliation testing, and reporting certification processes
- Experience supporting Agile, hybrid Agile, or waterfall implementation methodologies
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a Federal agency
- Department of War experience is a plus!
