Sigma Defense is seeking a Navy Veteran with Surface Navy experience as a qualified Combat Systems Coordinator (CSC) on an AEGIS BMD or equivalent platform to serve as a Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Training Specialist (CSC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to conduct ship training and assessments for Afloat Training Group Pacific.

Requirements

  • Must have 2 years of surface navy experience as a qualified Combat Systems Coordinator (CSC) on an AEGIS BMD or equivalent platform.
  • 2 years as an instructor/trainer or operational experience on a BMD configured AEGIS ship or BMD command/agency.
  • Participated in the completion of a BMD deployment certification or similar training as a CSC.
  • Experience in ballistic missile threats and developing missiles order of battle for countries of interest.
  • Experience with BMD concepts and development of comprehensive intelligence scenario products for BMD training.
  • Knowledge of BMD tactics, Technical Systems, and Instructions, including COMNAVSURFORINST 8820.2 series requirements and Tactical memorandums
  • Knowledge of the AEGIS Combat Systems; its components and instructions.
  • Knowledge of BMD Command and Control issues, regarding surveillance, engagement, and planning functions required for each of the various numbered fleets.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance or higher.
  • Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Operating as part of a training team or augmenting uniformed Navy training teams in the conduct of various shipboard training and assessment events that support ship BMD certification process throughout the Pacific AOR.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000 annually.
