The Senior Manager will lead strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives across Technology, Digital, Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other indirect spend categories. This role is responsible for managing strategic sourcing activities, supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and value delivery in support of business objectives. The Senior Manager will partner closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to support technology, services and AI investment decisions, including make-versus-buy assessments, ROI analysis, supplier evaluations, and commercial risk management. Reporting to the Director, responsible for Indirect Procurement, the Sr Manager will serve as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders achieve business outcomes while ensuring sound commercial decision-making and compliance with policies and processes.

The role will require travel to Jazz US and global offices as required, supplier sites and other meetings locations, as necessary.

Essential Functions:

The following responsibilities will be in-scope:

Category Management:

  • Execute category strategies and sourcing plans aligned with Procurement and business objectives.

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities for Technology, Software, SaaS, AI, Digital and other indirect spend categories.

  • Conduct market research, supplier assessments, benchmarking, and commercial analyses to support sourcing decisions and category plans.

  • Conduct supplier and market assessments to evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and service providers.

  • Manage competitive sourcing events, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contract development, and execution.

  • Develop financial models and ROI analyses to support technology and AI investment decisions.

  • Provide commercial guidance regarding licensing structures, consumption models, implementation approaches, and supplier selection.

  • Identify cost optimization, value creation, risk mitigation, and process improvement opportunities within assigned spend areas.

  • Ensure sourcing activities are aligned with procurement governance, business requirements, and enterprise objectives.

Business Partnering:

  • Partner with Digital Enterprise Capabilities (DEC) team and other cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver Procurement support aligned with organizational priorities.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on sourcing strategy execution, supplier engagement, commercial negotiations, and technology investment decisions.

  • Support strategic initiatives by providing market intelligence, supplier insights, financial analysis, and procurement expertise.

  • Facilitate alignment among stakeholders while balancing business objectives, speed, risk, quality, compliance, and cost considerations.

  • Challenge assumptions and provide data-driven recommendations that support sound business and investment decisions.

  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Security, Privacy, and Technology teams to ensure appropriate contractual protections and risk management for AI solutions.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms that mitigate risks and maximize value.

  • Monitor supplier performance and drive resolution of disputes or performance issues.

Reporting/Forecasting/Budgeting/Savings:

  • Collaborate with Finance to input financial information required for projects, project proposals, make versus buy processes and other strategic scenarios developed by the Business requiring external cost input.

  • Actively track and report on savings as a result of Procurement's engagement

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.

  • Minimum 7 years Procurement experience with progressive responsibility, at least 5 years in technology category management.

  • Experience supporting technology modernization or AI related Procurement initiatives.

  • Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and skills including the ability to effectively tailor communication to varying levels within the organization.

  • Commercially astute, strong planning and analytical skills, including financial modelling, Excel, and Excellent PowerPoint skills essential.

  • Analytical thinker with excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Proven track record of significant cost reduction

  • Experience with Coupa's Business Spend Management Platform (all Source to Pay modules) a plus.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $137,600.00 - $206,400.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
