Overview Omega Technical Services is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to support the Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP) and the DOE's Calcine Disposition Project in Idaho Falls, ID. This position provides technical and regulatory support for environmental remediation activities, radioactive waste management initiatives, scientific analyses, and environmental compliance efforts associated with one of the nation's most significant environmental cleanup missions. This position is contingent upon contract award and/or project funding. Candidates may be identified, screened, and submitted prior to award. Employment offers and start dates are dependent upon successful contract award, funding authorization, and client approval. The Environmental Scientist will work closely with project management, engineering teams, DOE representatives, regulatory agencies, and technical subject matter experts to support environmental restoration and waste disposition activities. This role is responsible for developing technical documentation, performing environmental and radiological analyses, supporting regulatory compliance efforts, and assisting with project planning and execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing skills, experience supporting environmental remediation or waste management projects, and the ability to effectively communicate scientific findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Develop and publish technical reports, engineering design files, annual reports, conceptual site models, and regulatory documentation.
