Senior Database Administrator (Oracle & IBM Db2)

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong Oracle and IBM Db2 expertise to support mission-critical enterprise database environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for database administration, high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, upgrades, security, backup and recovery, and operational support across Development, Test, and Production environments.

  • Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
  • Oracle RMAN Backup and Recovery
  • Oracle Grid Infrastructure
  • Oracle Multitenant Architecture (CDB/PDB)
  • Oracle Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting
  • Oracle Patching, Upgrades, and Migrations
  • Oracle Security and Auditing



IBM Db2



  • Db2 LUW Administration (10.5, 11.x, and 12.x)
  • Db2 HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery)
  • Db2 Backup, Restore, and Recovery
  • Db2 Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting
  • Db2 Fix Pack Installation and Upgrades
  • Db2 Security Administration
  • Db2 Database Migration and Version Upgrades



Additional Skills



  • Linux/Unix Administration (RHEL, Oracle Linux, AIX)
  • Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell)
  • SAN and Enterprise Storage Concepts
  • Enterprise Backup Solutions (NetWorker or equivalent)
  • Database Monitoring and Alerting Tools
  • Incident, Change, and Problem Management Processes



Key Responsibilities



  • Administer and support Oracle and Db2 databases across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Perform database installations, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing activities.
  • Monitor and tune database performance and capacity.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
  • Implement database security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support application deployments and infrastructure projects.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations as required.



Qualifications



  • Minimum 7 years of Database Administration experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle and IBM Db2 database platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale production environments.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Exadata, ASM, and RMAN.
  • Experience with Db2 HADR, backup/recovery, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Candidates selected for employment will be required to successfully complete all applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
  • Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of background investigations, employment verification, education verification, and any customer-required security screenings.
  • Candidates must be eligible to support government and public sector customers and comply with all customer-specific security requirements.
  • Availability to work 24/7 for oncall rotations.
